Airworthiness follow-up of the ATR fleet (“Safety” aspect)

To keep the Airworthiness level of the aircraft used identical to the one it had when it entered service (granting of the Individual Airworthiness Certificate)

Context
ATR, as holder of the Certificates of the ATR 42 and ATR 72 types, must meet the requirements of the CS 21 and more particularly that of the CS 21.3.
The CS 21.3 “Failures, malfunctions and Defects” includes four paragraphs:
  • “System for collection, investigation and analysis of data”.
  • “Reporting to the authority”.
  • “Investigation of reported occurrences”.
  • “Airworthiness Directives”.

Studies
Within this context, APSYS contributes, as a “Safety” specialist for all the TI “Technical Incidents” reported by the ATR fleet in service, to:
  • their investigations with the ATR specialists,
  • their “Safety” classifications as well as their potential impact on Airworthiness,
  • the identification of the maximum Exposure Time during the identification of an “unsafe Condition” with the implementation of an AD “Airworthiness Directive”,
  • the active participation in various reviews of the Airworthiness Follow-up process performed between the Authorities, ATR and its providers (ARM “Airworthiness Review Meeting”).
Place of the missions: ATR (France – Toulouse).

  • Good technical knowledge of the Products and of the Work environment (company & personnel). APSYS has been working on that project since 2002.
  • APSYS belongs to the EADS Group.
  • APSYS is a specialist in Risk Management.
