In a world where the technology level of the various industrial systems constantly evolves within a legislative and normative context of their own, APSYS with its skills, its know-how and the involvement of each one of its employee, proposes a coherent and adapted approach in order to develop an answer to the issues related to Risk management.

APSYS carries out various RAM studies in the automobile field (gearbox systems, components’ reliability calculations). We can assist you with component reliability beyond the guarantee period, the optimisation and definitions of maintenance plans, and finally, the building up of knowledge about the component failure rates.

    Some studies concerning more particularly the safety issue of the systems may also be carried out, for instance:
  • Study of the safety of a hydraulically assisted steering system.
  • Study of the safety of a hydraulic suspension system of the future Citroën vehicles.
  • Study of the safety of the front/rear braking distribution system.
  • Study of the safety of the automobile multiplexing systems (computers, piloting software, sensors, ...).
  • Study of the various braking architectures in a Safety standpoint.

APSYS is also present in the field of system diagnosis, particularly for vehicles having a multiplexed electronic architecture. APSYS develops and markets a server software programme called DIAGSYS.

DIAGSYS Principle of operation:

    The application software DIAGSYS works from a list of symptoms entered by the user and updated by:
  • the DIAGSYS system following deductions.
  • the user himself following observations and/or measurements.

During the diagnosis, DIAGSYS synthesises the results into a list of potential failures based on the criteria provided.

    The following stages are required to produce and optimal DIASYS model.
  • To analyse the system’s declinations (model, options…)
  • To determine the symptoms of the highest level to model
  • To analyse the symptoms of the highest level
  • To build the SIMFIA/DIAGSYS model
  • To perform the theoretical validation of the SIMFIA/DIAGSYS model
  • To perform the practical validation of the model
  • To perform the practical validation of the DIAGSYS session.

Other services:

  • Creation of a workshop of management of diagnosis data, tool which enables the management and update of the information systems.
  • Elaboration of a workshop of processing and analysis of defaults log for transient failures diagnosis help.
