From the attainment of knowledge coming from the functional and dysfunctional analysis of an equipment item, system or process, SIMFIA enables its analysis and the simulation of the general behaviour and the automation of the Dependability studies. SIMFIA integrates the following modules:
SIMLOG
To optimise one’s Maintenance by the Costs
From the definition of the physical and functional components, the geographical tree structure of the support, the reliability and maintainability data, as well as the maintenance policy, SIMLOG enables assisting the logistician in the implementation of the Logistic Support elements for one or several repairable, high technology systems.
DIAGSYS
The Diagnosis help tool
DIAGSYS is the diagnosis tool proposed in the SIMFIA workshop; it allows assisting an operator or a maintenance technician in the search for failures.
DIAGSYS can be used independently of SIMFIA as a “runtime” programme integrated into a maintenance tool or the operational system itself.
From a fault noticed on a system, DIAGSYS enables initialising a list of failures potentially responsible for that fault, and refining it thanks to complementary information asked to the user, or automatically transmitted from the diagnosed system as defaults codes.
DIAGSYS then converges towards the single failure or the association of failures responsible for the fault initially noticed.
